Is there somewhere to eat? Can i cook there? Piha Beachstay has a well equipped kitchen. Piha has a small general store and various other dine-in and takeaway options. See our website for a list of the local businesses available www.pihabeachstay.co.nz/location/places-to-eat-and-drink

Is there free parking? Yes we have plenty of off-street free parking. Suitable for cars and motorbikes.

How far is it to the beach? The walk to beach is an easy 1km,10-15mins to the sand near the Piha Surf-lifesaving Club.

Do i need to bring any bedding? No, all beds are made-up with fresh linen, and towels are provided.

Is your WiFi good? We have Fibre broadband connection which is reliable and fast enough for normal usage.

Can I arrive earlier or later than the checkin time at 3pm? Yes, it is usually okay to arrive early and you can have your room as soon as it is available. For late arrivals your name and room will be on the whiteboard inside the main entrance.

Do you allow dogs to stay? We allow small and medium size dogs over 2 years old. There is a one-off charge for cleaning fee.

Is the house shared with other people? Yes the house is shared with other guests, unless rented exclusively. The kitchen, lounge and dining are common areas.

What time is checkout? 10am. This can be extended to 12 Noon by request and $15 per room/bed.

How do i get to Piha without a car? Is there public transport? Unfortunately there is no public transport to Piha. Please see our website for transport information. https://www.pihabeachstay.co.nz/getting-here

Can i rent a surfboard and get lessons in Piha? Yes surfing lessons and surfboard rentals are available. Please see our website https://www.pihabeachstay.co.nz/surfing
